In other words, the sequence number creates a unique encrypted packet even when the
underlying command is the same. If an encrypted packet is repeated identically, the sequence
number would be out of order and a corresponding error message is sent to the host. The out
of sequence error can occur at either an endpoint or coordinator.
See the SubGig specification for more detail on encryption and security.

6.4. Sniffer Mode

The device can be put into a diagnostic mode called "Sniffer mode" which allows the host to
see all SubGig packets over the air. This mode is useful when diagnosing communication
between other devices and is passive meaning that the sniffing process does not interfere
with the RF packets.

6.4.1. Setting Device to Sniffer Mode

Sniffer mode is entered using the ATSN command, and until it is disabled all SubGig packets
are displayed to the host over the serial port with the "SNF" prefix (see the section
from the Module).
The format of the "SNF" output is as follows:
SNF <time stamp> <device type> <device ID> <sequence number>
<encryption> <command> <payload>
Each field is separated by one space (hex 0x20) and the SNF line itself is terminated with a
newline (hex 0x0D).
The fields are defined in the following sections:
Number, Encryption, Command, and Payload.

6.4.2. SNF Fields

6.4.2.1 Time Stamp

Time stamp: The number of milliseconds since sniffer mode was entered. When the AT
command for enabling sniffer mode is used, this is time = 0 and all subsequent "SNF"
messages are relative to this. This is represented as a 32-bit ASCII-coded hex number.

6.4.2.2 Device Type

Device Type: Either "C" for coordinator or "E" for endpoint

6.4.2.3 Device ID

Device ID: The 32-bit Device ID of the associated endpoint. This is represented as a 32-bit
ASCII-coded hex number.
