Configuration

AMS
After making all hardware connections to the AMS, the system must be configured
for operation.
Configuring the system is broken down into four processes:

Configure the AMS for Operation

Configure Sources
Configure Rooms
Configure Preset Groups
Configure the AMS for Operation
The AMS must be configured for operation prior to configuring sources, rooms, or
groups. Use the Installer Tools to configure the AMS for operation.
NOTE: If a custom program was created with Adagio Composer or SystemBuilder,
the following is not required.

Open Installer Tools

Press and hold the ROOM and SOURCE buttons for 10 seconds to open
the Installer Tools menu.

Scroll through the list of available options using the selection knob. The
selected option will be underlined. Available options are:
⇒ Select Tuner Format – Specifies the North American or European
tuning format when using a tuner card.
⇒ Configure Network – Configures the AMS to communicate with
devices that are connected to the AMS over Ethernet.
⇒ Configure Theater – Configures the layout and function of the
theater room.
⇒ Configure Distributed Audio - Sets the number of rooms to
receive distributed audio from the AMS, allows custom naming of
rooms connected to the AMS, allows custom naming of audio
sources connected to the AMS, hides sources from the list of
available sources, configures 12-button keypads, and restores
default settings for distributed audio functions.
