Network Wiring

When wiring the AAE Adagio Audio Expander, APAD controller, or C2N-DBF12
keypad to the AMS, consider the following:

Use Crestron Certified Wire.
•
Use Crestron power supplies for Crestron equipment.
•
Provide sufficient power to the system.
CAUTION: Insufficient power can lead to unpredictable results or damage
to the equipment. Please use the Crestron Power Calculator to help calculate
how much power is needed for the system

For larger networks, Use a Cresnet Hub/Repeater (CNXHUB) to maintain
signal quality

Hardware Hookup

NOTE: Prior to making any connections, refer to the latest version of the Crestron
Safety Instructions (Doc. 6607) which can be downloaded from the Crestron website
(www.crestron.com/manuals).
The AMS should be used in a well-ventilated area. The venting holes should not be
obstructed under any circumstances.
To prevent overheating, do not operate this product in an area that exceeds the
environmental temperature range listed in the table of specifications. Consider using
forced air ventilation and/or incrementing the spacing between units to reduce
overheating. Consideration must be given if installed in a closed or multi-unit rack
assembly since the operating ambient temperature of the rack environment may be
greater than the room ambient temperature. Contact with thermal insulating materials
should be avoided on all sides of the unit.
The AMS can be configured for a variety of audio applications. A list of available
room configurations, and speaker connection diagrams are available on the
following pages.
CAUTION: Speakers must be rated to full available output.
CAUTION: Do not bridge speaker outputs.
NOTE: Unless otherwise stated, connections can be made to the pre-amp output
connectors or the speaker connectors.
