Preparing Your Phone for Push to Talk Service

The first time you use your Push to Talk Phone, your phone must
identify itself and make itself available to the Push to Talk network.
1.
When you activate Push to Talk for the first time, you will be
prompted to activate Push to Talk service. Press OK (left
softkey) to activate. (You will see "Preparing... Please wait.")
2.
Press PTT (right softkey) or the Push to Talk/Recorder button on
the side of your phone ( ). (The Push to Talk Help message will
appear.)
3.
Press Yes (left softkey) to read a brief introduction to Push to Talk,
and press Next (left softkey) to continue through the tutorial.
Your phone is now ready to make and receive Push to Talk calls.

Push to Talk Call Alerts

There are several ways your phone alerts you during Push to Talk
calls.
When you make or receive a Push to Talk call:
The phone sounds (depending on the Ringer Type and Ringer
Volume setting).
The backlight illuminates.
The screen displays a Push to Talk call message.
The other party's Push to Talk number and name (if available) are
displayed.
The screen displays who has the floor.
The status of a Push to Talk call:
The Green LED On indicates you have the floor and may speak.
The Red LED On indicates another contact has the floor.
The LED Off indicates the floor is open. (You can take the floor
and speak by pressing and holding
