Push down the plate in the paper cassette to lock it.
CAUTION
When the plate in the paper cassette is locked, do not touch the lock
release levers on the left and right sides of the paper cassette. If the
locks are released, the plate springs up forcefully, and this can cause
personal injuries.

Lock Release Levers
Squeeze the lock release lever on the rear paper guide and
slide the paper guide to the mark corresponding to the
paper size you want to use.
The paper size indicated on the paper guide should be aligned with the
IMPORTANT
If you are using B5 size paper (182 mm x 257 mm), set the paper guide to
[B5-JIS]. Do not use the [B5-ISO] position. Also, do not use the [8.5" x 13"]
position.
