Introduction The information in this manual covers installation of the AUR2K-SW AurorA2000 Switcher. Each switcher allows 4 keypad operators to view the monitor output (main display and spot monitors) of up to 16 AurorA2000 Digital Multiplexers and/or AurorAcorD Digital Recorders. Keypads available for use with the switcher are the A2K-KBD AurorA2000 Remote Keyboard and V1400X-DVC-3 System Console. -

Connect the spot and main display BNCs of AurorA2000 1 to the switcher spot monitor BNC 1 and main display BNC 1. Spot and main display BNCs of AurorA2000 2 must be connected to the switcher spot monitor BNC 2 and main display BNC 2, and so forth. -

Make connections between AurorANet devices by connecting like signals together (all RS-485 Data+ lines together and all RS-485 Data- lines together). You must reselect AurorA2000/AurorAcorDs after power fails or is initially applied to the switcher. This is required because the default routing is AurorAcorD 1 (or AurorA2000 1) to spot monitor 1 and main display 1, AurorAcorD 2 (or AurorA2000 2) to spot monitor 2 and main display monitor 2, and so forth. •... -

Coaxial Cable Recommendations Caution: Careful selection of proper cable is essential to obtain the best performance from this equipment. Vicon assumes no responsibility for poor performance when cables other than those recommended, or equivalent, are installed. In all cases, coaxial cable impedance should be 75 ohms. -

IEC320 recessed three-pin male connector with built-in fuse tray. Fuse holder orientation dictates input voltage. Video Input: 32 BNC connectors (16 for AurorA2000/AurorAcorD spot monitors, 16 for AurorA2000/AurorAcorD main display monitors).
