Before initial use
Harmless smoke and odour may be emitted from the iron the first few times is used.
This is a temporary condition and is completely normal. Test the iron for the first time
on an old piece of cotton cloth to check that both the soleplate and the water tank
are clean.
Refilling
Warning: Be careful when refilling the iron. It can be very hot after use. Make sure that
the handle is fully raised.
1. Unplug the product from the wall socket.
2. Set the temperature control to MIN.
3. Open the lid of the water tank.
4. Use the included refill cup to fill the water
tank with ordinary tap water. Note: In regions
where extremely hard water is common, it is
recommended that you use distilled water.
5. Fill the tank to the MAX level and close the lid of
the water tank securely.
Setting the temperature
Check the fabric care instructions on the garment
and select a suitable temperature. The dots on
the temperature control signify the following:
Synthetic material such as acrylic and nylon.

Wool, silk and synthetic fabrics such as
polyester and rayon.
• • •
Material that withstands high temperatures,
such as cotton or linen.
Ironing

Dry ironing

Warning: Make sure that the mains voltage
corresponds with the voltage set on the iron.
Otherwise use a pointed object and change
the voltage setting using the voltage selector on
the back of the iron.
