ISBN/ISSN conversion The ISBN (International
Standard Book Number) and ISSN (International
Standard Serial Number) are bar codes for books
and magazines, respectively. The old ISBN is
10-digit and the old ISSN is 8-digit. When you
turn on this feature, it converts the new ISBN
and ISSN to their old format.
