12.1 Overview

This chapter discusses how to establish a connection between your WAP6405 and another AP or
wireless network.
The following figure provides an example of two wireless networks connected together.

There are two wireless networks in this example. The AP in WLAN B is not connected directly to the
server, so it needs to connect to the AP in WLAN A. After WLAN B and WLAN A are connected, the
wireless clients can use the AP in WLAN B to interact with other devices (such as the printer) or
with the Internet. Two WAP6405s can be the APs in both WLANS. In WLAN A your WAP6405 works
in AP mode, whereas in WLAN B works in Universal Repeater mode.
Note: This chapter is only for Client mode and Universal Repeater mode.
