Using the Sound Effect

This system provides you with 2 types of sound
effect, simply by pressing a button. Choose the
sound to suit your needs.
NIGHT
MODE
Press NIGHT MODE or BASS on the
remote.
The sound effect is activated.
x NIGHT MODE
In this mode, you can enjoy sound effects or
dialogue, as you would in a movie theatre, even
at low volume. It is useful for watching movies
at night.
x BASS
With BASS on, bass frequencies are effectively
reinforced.
To turn off the sound effect
Press NIGHT MODE or BASS on the remote
again.
Notes
• These two types of sound effect cannot be activated
at the same time.
• Sound effect is cancelled when you select "VF,"
"MPX L," "MPX R," connecting a microphone, or
when KEYCON is activated.

Singing along: Karaoke

You can sing along with any stereo CD or music
DVD by reducing the level of the original
vocals. You need to connect an optional
microphone.

Connect an optional microphone to the
MIC1 or MIC2 jack.
The microphone indicator in the front panel
display lights up.

Press KARAOKE on the remote.
With each press, the front panel display
changes as follows:
VF tMPX L* tMPX R* t
VF/MPX OFF t VF...
* Not selectable when using DVD.
The VF (Vocal Fader) indicator in the front
panel display lights up when you select
"VF," and flashes when you select
"MPX L" or "MPX R."
