Playing Discs

Playing Discs
Depending on the DVD or VIDEO CD, some
operations may be different or restricted.
Refer to the operation details supplied with your
disc.

Turn on your TV.

Switch the input selector on the TV to
this system.

Press ?/1 on the system.
The system turns on.
Unless the system is set to "DVD" mode,
press FUNCTION to select "DVD."

After "NO DISC" appears in the front
panel display, insert a disc into the disc
slot until the disc is retracted
automatically.

With the playback side facing down

Press H.
The system starts playback (continuous
play).
Adjust the volume on the system.
After following Step 5
Depending on the disc, a menu may appear on
the TV screen. You can play the disc
interactively by following the instructions on the
menu. (DVD: page 24), (VIDEO CD: page 24).
To remove the disc
Press A on the system. "EJECT" appears in the
front panel display. Remove the disc after it is
ejected from the system.
To turn on the system
Press ?/1 on the remote or press ?/1 on the
system. The system turns on.
To turn off the system
Press ?/1 on the remote or press ?/1 on the
system. The system enters standby mode and the
STANDBY indicator lights up in red.
In standby mode, you can reduce the power
consumption to minimum (Power Saving mode)
and save energy in standby mode.
Note
Do not insert a disc forcefully.
