Connecting to a smart device

You can connect this instrument to a smart device via a USB cable or wireless LAN. For the connection
method, refer to "Start Connection Wizard" in the Instrument Menu in the Smart Pianist smart device app.
Connection overview
Start the Smart Pianist smart device app and operate below.

Tap the [ ≡ ] icon located upper left on the screen and open the menu.

Tap the "Instrument" and open the Instrument Connection.

Tap "Start Connection Wizard" and follow the connection wizard.

Connecting with a USB Cable
iOS device
• Lightning - USB cable
Android device
If the device's connector is USB micro B
• Conversion adaptor (micro B male - Type A female)
• USB cable (Type A male - Type B female)
Connecting with the USB Wireless LAN Adaptor
• USB wireless LAN adaptor
• Access point
NOTE
When the instrument is set for direct wireless connection between your instrument and your smart device, no access point is required.
However, in this condition internet access will be disabled on your smart device, and certain functions may be limited, such as mailing,
searching and some functions of the Smart Pianist.
NOTICE
Use a USB cable that is less than 3 meters. USB 3.0 is not supported.
