Setting Up a Client Computer
This section describes how to set up a client computer when you use a NetWare print server.
This section assumes that the client has NetWare client applications installed and is correctly
configured to communicate with a NetWare print server. If not, install the necessary
applications before starting the setting up procedure.
Windows 95/98
Follow these steps to set up a Windows 95/98 client.

NetWare Configuration

Log in to the NetWare file server before starting the following procedure.

Install the printer driver of the printer you want to use as "Local printer".

For more information on installing the printer driver, refer to the Operator Guide
for your printer.

Any port is selected during the installation, however, LPT1 is recommended.

Click [Start], point to [Settings], and then click [Printers].

In the [Printers] window, select the icon of the printer you want to use by clicking it.

On the [File] menu, click [Properties].

Click [Details] tab, and click [Add Port].

Click [Network] and click [Browse].

On the network tree, double-click the name of the computer used as the print server.

The names of the printers attached to the network are displayed.

Click the queue you want to print to highlight it, and click [OK].

Click [OK].

In the [Print to the following port] box, a network path to the printer appears.
Click [OK] to close the printer's property, and again, open it.
Click the [Printer Settings] tab.
Remove the ' marks from the [Form feed] and the [Enable banner] check boxes.

You should not check these boxes, since they should be specified using the
printer driver. If they are checked, the printer might not print correctly.
