Overview

The motherboard comes with sixteen (16) Double Data Rate 4 (DDR4) Dual Inline Memory
Modules (DIMM) sockets.
The figure below illustrates the location of the DDR4 DIMM sockets:

Memory Configurations

You may install 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB RDIMMs or 32GB, 64GB LR-DIMMs and
NVDIMM into the DIMM sockets using the memory configurations in this section.

Refer to the ASUS AVL for the latest memory information.
To install a DIMM under single CPU configuration, install the DIMM in slot A1 or B1.
Always install DIMMs with the same CAS latency. For optimum compatibility, it is
recommended that you obtain memory modules from the same vendor.
