Function/Operation
Image radiation lamp
Operates in synchronization with No. 2/3 mirror unit to radiate documents
sequentially.
Converts image signals into laser beams to write on the drum.
Reads images with the lens and the CCD.
Supplies negative charges evenly on the drum.
Used to discharge paper.
Fuses toner on paper (with the teflon roller).
Fuses toner on paper (with the silicon rubber roller).
Transports waste toner to the waste toner box.
Forms images.
Transfer images (on the drum) onto paper.
Takes synchronization between the paper lead edge and the image lead edge.
Manual paper feed tray
Picks up paper in manual paper feed.
Transports paper from the manual paper feed port.
Transports paper from the 2nd tray. (Excluding AL-1611)
Picks up paper from the 2nd tray. (Excluding AL-1611)
Picks up paper from the 1st tray.
Puts toner on the OPC drum.
Reflects the images from the copy lamp unit to the lens unit.
