DIAGNOSTICS CHART WITH DIAGNOSIS CONNECTOR
Step
2 CHECK ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERA-
TURE.
Does VDC OFF indicator light come on when
engine coolant temperature is too low? Does it
go out after engine has warmed up?
3 CHECK VDC OFF SWITCH.
Remove and check VDC OFF switch.
<Ref. to VDC-31, VDC Off Switch.>
Is VDC OFF switch OK?
4 CHECK WIRING HARNESS.
1) Turn ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect VDCCM connector from
VDCCM.
3) Turn ignition switch to ON.
Does the VDC OFF indicator light remain
off?
5 CHECK VDC OFF SWITCH LINE.
1) Disconnect fuse from VDC OFF switch.
2) Measure resistance between VDCCM con-
nector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(F87) No. 40 — Chassis ground:
Does the measured value exceed the spec-
ified value?

Indicator lights on, when
engine coolant temperature is
