4. Fit the magnetic seal strips:
Two magnetic seals are supplied to fill the gap between the cabinet
and the edge of the products. These simply fit against the left
and right edges of the fridge chassis. To make it easier, it is useful
to apply a little sticky tape to the top and bottom of each strip to
prevent curling. Note that the seal may need to be cut to length.
5. Fit the width spacers:
For cabinets with 15mm thickness sides a small spacer is required
to be fit. The spacer is shown in Fig. 9 and marked as 'S'. This
ensures perfect alignment when installed. There are four spacers,
two for the top hinges and two for the bottom hinges; these simply
push into position on each hinge. Ensure the holes on the spacers
are level with the hinge holes, as per Fig. 9.
6. Fit the hinge alignment guides (i.e. Gasket protection pieces):
The gasket protection pieces double up as guides to ensure that
the product is at the required depth in the cabinet when installed. Fit
one to the top hinge and one to the bottom hinge. An example of
this on the top hinge is shown in Fig. 8 (marked as 'G'). Please
note that these are the opposite way around to how they were
originally fitted to the door edge in Step 1. It is easier to fit these
with the fridge and freezer doors open.
Spacer 'S' is fitted on the cabinet side of the hinge plate and guide
'G' is fitted on the fridge door side of the hinge plate. This is so
that the appliance doors can be opened once the product has
been secured to the cabinet and the guides removed.
