Update OS via Compact Flash (ATA card)
In order to upgrade or re-install the 4210 OS via Compact Flash, you will require
the following files (available from PSC Technical Support):
RTOS.OUT
Image file of 4210 OS
Note: File name must be "RTOS.OUT" – do not rename it.
CAUTION: Users files will be erased!
1.
Copy file "RTOS.OUT" from the PC to the root direc-
tory of the Compact Flash card.
2.
Insert the Compact Flash Card into the 4210.
3.
Plug the power adapter into the 4210.
4.
Run \Windows\updatemode.exe from 4210 by tapping
Start -> Programs -> File Explorer -> double tapping
"Windows" folder. Locate and then double tap
"Updatemode.exe".
5.
Select "Update OS through ATA" and then press OK.
6.
The 4210 will display the following screen:
