Communication

Introduction

The Falcon 4210 allows users to link to a host computer via RS-232, IrDA,
Modem, or RF connection for data communication.
This chapter provides an overview of the communication of the 4210. The
following subchapters cover these topics:
"Microsoft ActiveSync" for details about serial communication via RS232 port.
"RF Communication" for details about wireless communication between
mobile 4210s and host computers.

Connecting

Serial Cable
Plug the RS232 end of the communication cable to
the PC's 9 pin Com Port and the other into the
4210 RS232/Charging Port (see page 3). Plug the
Power Supply into the Power Receptacle on the
RS232 plug.
Docking Station
Plug the RS232 end of the communication cable to
the PC's 9 pin Com Port and the other end into the
Cradle RS232 Port. Plug the Power Supply into the
Power Receptacle on the Docking Station.
