    BATTERIES HANDLING THE BATTERIES Use only rechargeable or disposable batteries of the correct size. Charge rechargeable batteries before using them for the first time (further information is available in the user manual “Smart Power”). Remove the protective film from batteries only when you are ready to use them.
  • Page 13 BATTERY POWER RUNNING LOW Your hearing system specialist can program your hearing system so that an audible signal warns you when the battery is running low. Change or recharge the battery when you hear this audible signal or if the amplification starts to fade. INSERTING THE BATTERY Open the battery compartment fully using your finger nail (see figure).

    REMOVING THE BATTERY Open the battery compartment. The battery will fall out as soon as the compartment has been fully opened. If the battery does not fall out, tap lightly on the casing or use the magnetic pen. The magnetic pen is available as an accessory.
  • Page 15 INSERTING THE HEARING SYSTEM Keep the receiver cable close to the ear mold. Slide the ear mold gently into the auditory canal (1). It may be helpful to tug the ear gently upwards or backwards. Twist the ear mold slightly until a good fit is attained.
  • Page 16 REMOVING THE HEARING SYSTEM Pick up the hearing system and slide it out from behind your ear (1). If your hearing system has a CLIC MOULD, pull the removal line towards the back of your head in order to remove the ear mold (2). For all other ear molds (domes): Grasp the receiver in the ear canal with two fingers and pull it out gently.

    WITH PUSH BUTTON (RIXX G3) ❏ Press the push button briefly. The hearing system changes to the next program. WITH ROCKER SWITCH (MOOD G3 AND SUN G3) ❏ Press up briefly or for approx. 2 seconds to switch to the next program.

    AUTOMATIC ❏ The volume is automatically adjusted when the hearing systems are in use. WITH ROCKER SWITCH (MOOD G3 AND SUN G3) ❏ Press the top of the rocker switch briefly to increase the volume. Press the bottom of the rocker switch briefly to reduce the volume.

    ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS PHONE CALLS Hold the telephone receiver slightly higher than usual during phone calls. The receiver must point towards the hearing system. Turn the telephone receiver slightly, so that the ear is not completely covered by the telephone receiver. TELEPHONE COIL PROGRAM If you prefer specific volume settings when making phone calls, ask your hearing system specialist to set up a special telephone coil...
  • Page 22 Not all telephones generate a magnetic field that is strong enough to activate the AutoPhone function. In this case, use the Audio Service AutoPhone magnet, which is available as an accessory, and attach it to the tele- phone receiver.

    TELEPHONE COIL PROGRAM AND REMOTE CONTROL (DEPENDS ON THE MODEL) NOTE For systems with a wireless connection: The remote control may cause a pulsing sound when the telephone coil program is active. Keep the remote control at least 10 cm away from the hearing system.
  • Page 24 Requirements: ƒ You must be wearing two hearing systems. ƒ On one hearing system the rocker switch must be programmed for the “Varying AudioSpot” function. Refer to the chapter “Configuration of your hearing systems” for settings of the rocker switch. The Bluetooth Smart Connect remote control and the Smart Connect app offer even more options for settings.

    If interference occurs, move further away from the source of the interference. ACCESSORIES Optional accessories are available for your Audio Service hearing system. Examples include a remote control, an audio streaming device, a charging station or a Smartphone app as a remote control.

    MAINTENANCE AND CARE Audio Service hearing systems are robust enough to function reliably for years. However, it is important that you treat your hearing systems with care and take note of a few basic rules that will quickly become habits.

    Never use pressure during cleaning. Ask your hearing system specialist for special care kits, cleaning accessories and find out what you can do to keep your hearing system in good condition. EAR MOLDS CLEANING Cerumen (earwax) on the ear mold affects the quality of sound negatively.
  • Page 28 CHANGING THE DOME Replace the dome about every three months. Replace it earlier if you see cracks or other changes. Have your hearing system specialist explain how to replace the dome and ask how to select the best type and size for you. If you find it difficult to remove the old dome, use the Click Dome removal tool or follow the instructions on the dome package.

    MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION TROUBLESHOOTING The volume is low. Replace the flat battery or recharge it. Clean or replace the ear mold. Increase the volume. Feedback whistling from the hearing system. Insert the ear mold so that it fits closely and securely. Reduce the volume.
