Connecting a SMART Board® interactive display or SMART Board
interactive flat panel to the receiver
To connect a SMART Board interactive display or SMART Board interactive flat panel to the
receiver
1. Using a 3.5 mm stereo cable, connect the cable to the receiver's LINE IN L/R port.
2. Connect the cable to the display or board. See the display's installation and maintenance
guide or the board's administrator's guide for more information.

Using input devices

You can connect a mobile device, MP3 player or computer to SMART Audio 400. Using a 3.5 mm
audio cable, connect your device to the AUDIO IN receptacle on the microphone or receiver.
Connecting a device to the teacher or student microphone
To connect a device to the teacher or student microphone
NOTE
Set the device's volume to 80–90% of its maximum volume. Then use the volume controls on
the teacher or student microphone.
1. Using an audio cable that with 3.5 mm stereo plugs on both ends, connect the cable to the
AUDIO IN receptacle on the microphone.
2. Connect the cable to the headphone receptacle on the mobile device, MP3 player or
computer.
3. Use the volume control on the mobile device, MP3 player or computer to set the playback
volume.
OR
If the LINE LED is lit, use the microphone's volume controls to adjust the volume.
Adjusting the volume of input devices
1. On the teacher microphone, press the SELECT button until the LINE LED is lit.
2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the volume.
