You must charge the battery and install the application programs before you can work with the notebook. The operating system and drivers required are preinstalled. When not plugged into a power outlet, the notebook runs on its built-in battery. You can increase the battery's life by enabling the system's energy saving functions.

You can increase battery life by enabling the system's power management features. In addition to the notebook standard battery, you can also use a second notebook battery.

Make sure that the power cable is approved for use in the country in which you intend to use it. The notebook and the power adapter should be at least 200 mm apart.

To compensate for measuring errors in the electronics, and because the chemical properties of the battery change over time, the electronics must be recalibrated regularly.
