Construction
The
angle grinder
MSf 679
b is an
electric
tool of
Class II
according
to
VDE
regulations
0740.
The protective insulation ·is
additional
to the normal insulation
and
protects
the
operator
against electric
accidents
caused by defective
normal
insulation.
The
protective
insulation is
attained
by
the motor housing
made of polyamide- shockproof
and
resistant
to
leakage
currents
-
a
nd
by
insulating
the armature against
the
pinion.
The
machine
is
supplied
with a
two-core
cable
w
ithout
earth wire and must
not be earthed. The dustproof
switch
is mounted in the
handle.
The angle grinder is equipped with a protective motor
switch.
When
overloaded, it
disconnects
the
motor.
When
the protective
motor switch is released,
it
can
again
be
connected
after 20 or
30 seconds.
Switch must
be in the "Off"
position, before
connecting
again
the
protective motor switch.
The machine is
teste
d with the prescribed test
v
oltage
of 4000 V.
It
is radio
suppressed according
to radio interfer ence VDE
0875.
The
bevel gear
have
helical
teeth. Gears are
lapped
fo
r
accurate
meshing; both
p arts to
be supplied as pairs
only.
Gears and
bearings are protected
against
dust
~nd
loss of
grease.

The
slots for the
cooling air
of
the
motor
are
located
in
the
gear head. They allow
an
additional cooling of
the
gear head.

3. Connection and operation
Main
voltage
must
correspond
to
the
operating
voltage
marked
on the rating plate.
The tool
can be
plugge
d
into
plain
or
safety
sockets. Switch must be
in
the
"Off"
position
w hen
connecting.
The grinders must not be used
w
ithout
w
h
eel
guards.
Do
not exceed
the dimensions
·
of grinding wheels
stipulated.
For
cutting
off, use cutting
wheels
together
with
the prescribed
flanges and, in addition to this,
our wheel
guard
with
adjustable
support for
cutting off stone.
4. Maintenance and
lubrication.
The angle grinder
requires adequate
maintenance.
Before
star-
ting any
maintenance work pull
plug
from
socket.
After 3-4
weeks
the m achin
e,
in
particular
carbon holde
rs
and
insulate
d
parts
,
should be
cleaned
of carbon
dust
and
dirt. This
is done
by
m eans of
a
brush
or
compressed
air.
Worn carbon
brushes automatically
switch
off
the
machine
utter
reaching
their
minimum
length.
After
checking
the carbon
brushes make sure
to
refit
them in their
original
position and
