CHECKING OIL LEVEL
See Figure 11-13, page iv
■ Do not overfill. Leave approximately 0.2 in.
(5 mm) of space to the lower edge to allow
the lubricant to expand. (Fig. 11)
■ Check the oil level prior to switching on and
regularly during operation. Refill oil when the
oil level is low. (Fig. 12)
■ Wipe up spilled oil with a soft cloth and refit
the reservoir cap.
NOTE: Check the chain lubrication before
each use.
■ Make sure the guide bar and the saw chain
are in place when you check the oil delivery.
■ Switch on the product (see section
"STARTING THE POLE SAW"); keep
pressing the power switch and check if the
chain oil is delivered as shown in the figure.

TILT ADJUSTMENT
See Figure 14-15, page iv
Adjust the angle of the cutting head to fit the
operation conditions.
■ Press the pivot button and hold it in
position. (Fig. 14, step 1)
■ Move the cutting head slightly up or
downward.
■ Release the pivot button and keep moving
the cutting head until it locks in place.
(Fig. 14, step 2)
WARNING!
Always ensure that the
pivot button snaps into place after adjusting
the cutting head in one of the 6 indicated
positions! Never adjust to an intermediate
position! (Fig. 15)

OPERATION

TO INSTALL / REMOVE BATTERY PACK
See Figures 16-17, page v
WARNING!
pack from your tool when you are assembling
parts, making adjustments, cleaning, carrying,
transporting or when not in use. Removing
battery pack will prevent accidental starting
that could cause serious personal injury.
NOTE: To avoid serious personal injury,
always remove the battery pack and keep
hands clear of the safety switch when
carrying or transporting the tool.
To install: (Fig. 16)
■ Align the tongue of the battery pack with
the slots of the battery dock.
■ Grasp the pole saw firmly.
■ Push the battery pack into the pole saw
until the latch locks into place.
■ Do not use force when inserting the battery
pack. It should slide into position and "click".
To remove: (Fig. 17)
■ Press the release button on the battery
pack to release the battery pack from the
pole saw.
■ Grasp the pole saw firmly, and pull the
battery pack out.
STARTING / STOPPING THE POLE CHAIN
See Figure 18, page v
NOTE: Carefully remove the scabbard from
the bar before starting the pole saw and place
scabbard over the bar when pole saw is not
in use.
