Consumer Error Mode (CEM)

Entry into Consumer Error Mode
Consumer Error Mode allows the consumer to
retrieve the fault codes to assist with diagnosis
at the time the consumer calls for service to their
machine. The consumer cannot delete any of the
codes or run any components.

turn on signifying to the user to release the Start
button.

constantly blinking while in CEM.

Models without a 7-segment display will
blink LEDs in binary format. The consumer
will report which LEDs are blinking. See the
Binary Display Fault Chart on the next page.
Models with a 7-segment display will blink
the fault number in the display.
At the end of the fault list or if no faults are
present:
Models without a 7-segment display will
blink all status LEDs.
Models with a 7-segment display will display
"- -".
Exiting Consumer Error Mode
Pressing any button (other than Start), or turning
any knob will exit the Consumer Error Mode.
Consumer Error Mode will time out after 10
minutes.

Diagnostics

Field Service Mode

Entry into Field Service Mode
the start button for 10 seconds while rotating
the cycle selection knob 180 degrees (seven
clicks) and then release the Start button.
Once Field Service Mode is entered, all LEDs will
all will start blinking to signify that Field Service
Mode has been entered.
7-segment display models (0) will be displayed
for Test 0.
Models without a 7-segment display, all cycle
status LEDs will be blinking.
Use the cycle selection knob to control the test
selection menu.
Rotating the knob clockwise will increment the
test numbers in the display.
Rotating the cycle select knob counter-clockwise
will decrement the test numbers in the display.
Models without a 7-segment display will display
tests using the cycle status LEDs above the cycle
select knob in a binary format. (See the Binary
Display Fault Chart on the next page).
Once the test number is selected, pressing the
Start button will begin the selected test.
Turning the cycle select knob while in a selected
test shall cancel that test and move to the next
test for selection.
Exiting Field Service Mode
Field Service Mode will time out after 30 minutes
if there is no user activity.
On models without a 7-segment display, press
and hold the Start button for 3 seconds.
On models with a 7-segment display, press the
power button.
