Available_AP: Displays the basic information of the current AP.
Member: Displays the basic information of the APs that have enabled the load balancing
function. (A load balancing group's configuration range is 2 ~ 5 sets of AP.)
8.4 Firmware
You can check the firmware information of the current AP (which is stored in the memory) by
viewing the Firmware list, or upload the latest version of firmware of the AP. If the corresponding
AP model of the uploaded firmware is the same the one that is stored in the memory, the new
firmware will cover the old version one.
After checking Auto upgrade, all the APs in this model will be automatically upgraded in the
restarting of the APs. Note: Only when the version of the uploaded firmware is higher than that of
the current AP, the system will automatically upgrade. If you want to upgrade a single AP or
several specified APs, please upgrade the corresponding AP under the Access Point menu.
8.5 Example of APs' centralized management
Requirements:
A small business bought three sets of APs and wants to set up a wireless network within the
company. The following requirements and must be met:
1) The wireless network can cover the whole office area of the company.
2) With this wireless network, the company employees can use wireless terminals to access to the
enterprise's internal resources and the Internet, while guests can only use the wireless terminals
to access the Internet, not the enterprise's internal resources.
3) The number of clients on all three APs should be as even as possible.
