4-3. Ink Ribbon Feed Mechanism
The ink ribbon feed mechanism is linked to the print head carrying mechanism described previously so that the ink ribbon
is wound up automatically while the carriage moves left or right.
The ribbon feed mechanism is driven by torque from the carriage motor, and carriage movement allows the gear B to
rotate.
This rotation is conveyed sequentially to the gears that work to wind the ribbon. The carriage is equipped with a ribbon
feed fin A'ssy so that the direction of RF fin rotation remains constant regardless of the direction of the gear B rotation.
