Connection to the Power Supply

The industrial battery-operated screwdrivers are de-
livered without NiCd battery pack or voltage adapter.
The industrial battery-operated angle wrenches are
delivered without angled screw head, NiCd battery
pack, or voltage adapter. The voltage adapters are
for use exclusively for connecting the Bosch industrial
battery-operated screwdrivers and battery-operated
angle wrenches to the constant voltage regulator

Charging the Battery
Never store rechargeable batteries in a battery
powered tool. Rechargeable batteries last longer
and are easier to recharge when they are stored sep-
arately. Remember to fully recharge batteries that
have been stored for a longer time before use.
Charge the battery with a suitable charging unit be-
fore inserting it into the power tool. The exact de-
scription of the charging procedure can be found in
the operating instructions of the charging unit.
The battery is equipped with an NTC temperature
sensor that allows charging only in the temperature
range between 0 °C (+32 °F) and 45 °C (+113 °F). A
long service life of the battery is achieved in this man-
ner.
With correct usage, the battery can be re-
charged up to 3000 times.
A new battery or a battery that has not been used for
a longer time produces full power only after approxi-
mately five charge/discharge cycles.
You should not recharge a battery after brief usage
(e.g., 3 minutes) in order to protect it.
Inserting the Battery
Press the right/left switch 13 to the middle position to
activate the switch-on lock and place the on/off
switch 12 in the "off" position. This prevents the un-
intentional switching on of the tool.

13
Slide the charged battery 18 into the handle of the
power tool. Take care that the battery is inserted in
the proper direction and that it perceptibly locks in
place in the handle of the industrial screwdriver.

Inserting the Voltage adapter
The voltage adapters may be differentiated, depend-
ing on the voltage, by the color of the housing of the
D-sub connector 21. The housing of the D-sub con-
nector for a voltage of 9.6 V is light blue in color, that
for a voltage of 12 V is red in color, and that for a volt-
age of 14.4 V is black in color.
The adapter housing 24 may be mounted in or
dismounted from the industrial battery-operat-
ed screwdriver only when the constant voltage
regulator is switched off or when the connector
21 is disconnected from the constant voltage
regulator.
23
Engage the switch lock of your screwdriver and
switch off the screwdriver at the on/off switch. Then
insert the adapter housing 24 into the handle of the
industrial battery-operated screwdriver. Take care
that the adapter housing is inserted in the proper di-
rection and that it perceptibly locks in place in the
handle of the industrial screwdriver.
Read and follow the operating instructions of the
constant voltage regulator 4EXACT.
Disassembly
Removing the Battery
The battery 18 is located in the handle of the power
tool.

Disconnection of the Screwdriver from the
Constant Voltage Regulator
18
The adapter housing 24 may be mounted in or
dismounted from the industrial battery-operat-
ed screwdriver only when the constant voltage
regulator is switched off or when the connector
21 is disconnected from the constant voltage
regulator.
Loosen the two screws 22 on the connector 21 and
pull the connector out of the connection socket 20.
Subsequently, press down the release tabs 17 on the
two sides and pull the adapter housing 24 out of the
handle of the industrial battery-operated screwdriver.
