Problem
Fuel filler flap will not
open.
C Red warning lamp
is lit.
If the speed exceeds
20 km/h, a warning
tone also sounds.
Colour display: the dis-
play shows an open
door/tailgate.
Possible causes/consequences and M Solutions
Side window is not reset.

WARNING
While closing the side windows, body parts in the closing area
could become trapped. There is a risk of injury.
When closing make sure that no parts of the body are in the
closing area. If somebody becomes trapped, release the switch
or press the switch to open the side window again.

Close all doors.
X
Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock.

Push switch for closing the window until the window is closed,
and then pull the switch for one second.
The side window opens again a little way.

Repeat previous step until the window remains closed after
releasing the switch.
Fuel filler flap is not unlocked.
X
Unlock vehicle.
Key battery is low or discharged.
X
Unlock vehicle using the emergency key element in the emer-
gency release.
Door or tailgate is open.
X
Pull over and stop the vehicle, paying attention to road and
traffic conditions.
X
Close all doors and the tailgate.
