Bluetooth
wireless technology lets you stream music from mobile devices such as
®
smartphones, tablets and computers. Before you can stream music from a device,
you must pair the device with your speaker.
Choosing your pairing method
You can pair your device with your speaker using Bluetooth wireless technology or
Near Field Communication (NFC).
You can also use the Bose® Connect app to pair your device (see page 7).
What is NFC?
NFC is a technology that enables mobile devices to establish wireless communication
with each other by simply tapping the devices together. Refer to your device owner's
guide to see if your model supports NFC.
If your device does not support B luetooth
pairing via NFC or if you are unsure:

using NFC:

I have a bose speaker its about 19 yrs old and it will not longer charge -- I have tried all the suggestion on the help line with result --- can you advise how to get it to take charge or is it the internal battery gone --- thanks

1. Boost the Battery – If the speaker has been unused for a long time, connect it to a power outlet for 15 minutes to revive the battery.
2. Check the Charging Cradle – Ensure the speaker sits properly on the metal contacts, clean them with isopropyl alcohol, or bypass the cradle.
3. Clean the Charging Port – Use a sharp pin, toothpick, or blower to remove debris from the port.
4. Replace the Battery – If the battery still does not charge, it may be dead and needs replacement.
5. Service the Speaker – If none of these steps work, take the speaker to a Bose service center or a professional technician. Avoid opening it yourself to prevent damage and voiding the warranty.
