The RS-232C Level Convertor X-722 can be connected to the X-07 and the
Optical Coupler X-721.
One optical coupler can be connected to the X-07 and another to the RS-232C
Level Convertor, and data can be transmitted from the X-07 and received by
the RS-232C Level Convertor X-722 through the optical couplers . Then the
data can be transmitted through an acoustic coupler.
The serial input/ output termina l of the X-07 has only 9 pins which is the min­
mum number of pins needed to conform to the RS-232C specifica tions.
Therefor e, it cannot be connecte d to many RS-232C terminal connecto rs
which have 25 pins. The RS-232C Level Converto r X-722 is used to connect
the X-07 to standard connecto rs. It is also used to supply power to the optical
coupler.
The diagram below gives an example of how to connect the RS-232C Level
Convertor X-722.
