Instrument operation
TIP:
Have anyone else on the boat that may have
a smartphone turn off the Bluetooth function
in their smartphone settings before proceed-
ing to step (2).
(2) Turn on the Bluetooth function of the
smartphone that is to be paired to the ste-
reo system.
(3) Use the smartphone to search for the ste-
reo system (for example, AW3860) of the
boat.
TIP:
The displayed name of the stereo system var-
ies according to the smartphone.
(4) Select the stereo system of the boat to
connect to it.
TIP:
When connecting the smartphone to the

stereo system for the first time, enter "0000"
for the PIN.
Should the smartphone fail to pair with the
stereo system, check to see if anyone else
on board may have had their Bluetooth
turned on. It will be necessary to discon-
nect other devices that paired in place on
the one that was intended to be connected.

nected smartphone", if this happens.
While the smartphone is connected, you

can select audio tracks using the smart-
phone and adjust the volume level of the
speakers using the stereo receiver, remote
control keypad, and remote control unit.
While you are talking on the smartphone,

the volume level of the speakers is lowered
automatically.
To disconnect a smartphone that is connect-
ed using Bluetooth wireless technology:
Turn off the Bluetooth function of the connect-
ed smartphone.

To reset the pairing setting for a connected
smartphone:
(1) Turn off the stereo system.
(2) Turn the main switch keys to the off posi-
tion.
(3) Turn the battery switch to the OFF (red)
position and wait approximately 30 sec-
onds. (See page 31 for more informa-
tion.) The paired smartphone will be
disconnected after several seconds have
elapsed.
