2 Select Pattern.
The Secure start-up window displays.
3 If you want to further protect your device by requiring your pattern before it starts up, select
Require pattern to start device and tap Continue.
4 Using a finger, draw a pattern to unlock your device.
5 Tap Continue.
6 Draw the same pattern again.
7 Tap Confirm.
The Notifications screen displays.
8 From the Notifications screen, select how you want your notifications to show:
Show all notification content.
Hide sensitive notification content.
Don't show notifications at all.
The Security screen is re-displayed.
A pattern must be entered to unlock the device.

Specifying a PIN or Password

Setting a PIN or password as your screen lock helps you protect your device.
When and where to use: Use this procedure to specify a PIN or password to unlock your LEX device:
Procedure:
1 From the Home screen, tap
2 Select PIN or Password.
The Secure start-up window displays.
3 If you want to further protect your device by requiring your PIN or password before it starts up,
select one of the following:
Require PIN to start device.
Require password to start device.
4 Tap Continue.
5 Enter a PIN or password and tap Continue.
6 Enter the PIN or password again and tap OK.
7 From the Notifications screen, select how you want your notifications to show:
Show all notification content.
Hide sensitive notification content.
