Encryption takes an hour or more. You must start with a charged battery and keep your tablet
plugged in throughout the process.If you interrupt it,you'll lose some or all of your data
SIM card lock: You can lock your device's SIM cards to prevent someone else from using them.
After you set it up, you'll need to enter a PIN on the lock screen for each SIM that's locked.
Set up SIM lock: Lock your SIM card for extra security. You can also change your SIM card PIN
from this screen. If you don't know your SIM PIN, you can obtain it from your SIM service
operator.
Make password visible: Make passwords visible as you type, which helps you to enter a
password that is more complex and secure.
Device administrators: Manage device administrators, allow apps to be installed from sources
other than the Play Store, and choose to verify apps from all sources.
Unknown Sources: Manage installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store.
Credential storage:Manage, install, or clear certificates on your devices.
Trust agents: Manage trust agents for features like Smart Lock.
Screen pinning: You can use screen pinning to keep an apps screen in view until you unpin it.
For example, you could pin a game so that you don't accidentally exit the game while you're
playing. Then, when you're done with the app, you can unpin the screen to get back to the rest of
your apps.
Turn screen pinning on or off
Before you start pinning screens, you'll need to turn on the screen pinning setting for your device:
1. Open your device's Settings app
2. Scroll down and click Security.
3. Click Screen pinning.
4. At the top, switch the setting ON or OFF.
5. If you turned screen pinning ON, you'll also see an option to "Ask for unlock pattern before
unpinning."
Pin a screen
1. Make sure that screen pinning is turned ON for your device (see directions above).
2. Open an app and go to the screen you want to pin.
3. At the bottom, click the Overview button
4. Swipe up to reveal the pin icon
5. Click the pin icon
Unpin a screen
1. When you're on the pinned screen, touch and hold Back
time.
2. Release both buttons and the screen will be unpinned.
3. If you required that the lock screen show after an app is unpinned, you will need to enter your
pattern, PIN, or password.
