Mobilit y-centric
TECHNOLOGIES
Industry's highest capacity extended-life 68.5 Whr Li-Ion 10-cell battery provides up
to 6.5 hours
of operating time (Passmark Battery Test)
1
Optional 55 Whr lithium ion 8-cell battery provides approximately 4 hrs
operating run time
Both battery options insert into a sealed and secure repository on the back of the
system and sit flush, thereby ensuring the battery is an integral part of the overall
system and does not protrude or extend outside of the mechanical structure
The batteries are user/field-replaceable via a quick lock/unlock mechanism for
expedited replacement
Warm swap battery support – The iX104C5 also has a 6-cell bridge battery that
provides 3-51 minutes of life (full charge) – ample time to replace batteries while
in field
Physical battery health meters are integrated into each of the batteries and a
software-based meter is also resident on the system
Digital, 3 megapixel auto-focus camera – fixed position
Captures still images and video
Rear facing – supports a variety of documentation, proof-of-performance based
applications
The iX104C5 screen is the view finder – provides a big, bright image with maximum
user control via tablet alignment to maximize image capture results
Bar code capture capabilities – potentially eliminates additional third-party
peripherals – maintains the integrity and ruggedness of the entire system:
Inventory management
Asset tracking
Image cleaning for batch scanning and automation
Integrated, sealed and protected against the elements in extreme operating conditions
Camera management software including settings, soft user controls and output
controls
Quiet Mode (Lights Out) capabilities
Required by many first responder, field military and DHS personnel in tactical
situations – must quickly enter a "quiet mode" when they enter a potentially
hazardous tactical situation (hot call)
When activated, LEDs, radios, system beeps, internal fan, and audio are all disabled
and LCD brightness is minimized
Activated via simple keystroke (set up in BIOS utility)
User-adjustable via control tables for customization
The iX104C5 has been designed for maximum I/O flexibility and applicability to
address the needs of typical field service and military personnel:
Standard serial port (RS-232) – supports connectivity to legacy devices which
remain critical for select field personnel
Signal-ready RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 I/O capabilities via side-band pin and
pad connection – supports military and field service connectivity needs
USB pin and pad expansion modules on the iX104C5 support Xplore's dedicated GPS
module and future expansion needs to meet specific customer applications
