    If you observe a discrepancy in the way your watch runs, we advise you to entrust it to an authorised Jaeger-LeCoultre retailer who will make the necessary adjustments. Watches with mechanical movements must not be used for sports involving significant risk of impact or abrupt actions, such as golf or tennis.

It is essential to have such a check carried out each time your watch is opened, and before any period in which it is liable to undergo prolonged and/ or regular immersions.

    Also, note that leather straps are not suited for aquatic activities. “1000 Hours Control” test Jaeger-LeCoultre submits all its watches to its stringent “1000 Hours Control”, a battery of comprehensive and rigorous internal tests lasting a full 1000 hours.

    “1000 Hours Control” programme considerably exceed the standards of official timing tests, which deal only with part of the movement. Jaeger-LeCoultre tests not only the movement prior to being cased up in the watch, but also the watch once it has been assembled.

    Functions and displays FUNCTION SELECTOR Activated by a push-piece that is integrated into the crown, the function selector enables several functions to be adjusted without having to delicately pull out the crown. Once the function has been selected, adjustments can be made simply by rotating the crown.
  • Page 10 THE POWER RESERVE The functions of a wristwatch clearly depend on the energy transmitted to the movement. The barrel of the Master Compressor Extreme LAB 2 guarantees a 60-hour power supply. To consult the remaining power reserve at any time, a new radial display (patent pending) featuring a simple and intuitive read-off appears on the circumference of the upper part of the dial.

    at 12 o’clock, a large double-digit counter dis- plays the chronograph minutes. Its operation is based on an instant-jump mechanism, which is activated at the exact moment that the seconds hand completes a full turn. The chronograph’s total hours indicator is positioned at 9 o’clock. THE SECOND TIME ZONE The presence of a GMT function is a fundamental attribute of an explorer’s watch.
  • Page 12 SETTING THE TIME Position the crown in its time-setting or “SET” position on the dial. Turn the hands until they display the desired time. Once the time has been set, position the crown in its neutral “N” position. THE STOP-SECONDS DEVICE In the time-setting position, the seconds hand pursues its progress and the watch’s running precision is not affected.

This push-piece construction ensures easy handling of the watch. The two traditional push-pieces are covered and protected by two metallic L-shaped levers pivoting around the crown.
