3. Depressing the PAGE DOWN key twice will display new features related
to the PAX interface:
PAX Cash Back Amount Lines 1 ~ 4 – There are four (4) lines to input the

listing digit amount for cash back on debit card transaction. These fields are 1-
digit entries, 1=$10.00; 2=$20.00....... 9=$100.00. These cash back amounts
will appear on the PAX terminal display before the debit transaction is sent out
for approval.
PAX Demo Mode – Answering Yes will put the PAX terminal into a demo mode

so transactions are not sent to the processor and are factiously are approved.
The feature is designed for demonstrations and training purposes. Once set, a
DEMO prompt will always appear on the PAX terminal display. In a live install be
sure to check that the PAX Demo Mode is turned OFF.
c. PAX Restaurant Mode – This feature should be turned ON in an operation using
charge tips.
PAX CVV in Manual Entry – On a credit card manual entry operation this

Manual entries can be done on the QT or directly into the PAX device.

PAX Address on Manual Entry - On a credit card manual entry operation this
feature activated will require the operator to input the credit card holder's
address. Inputting the address can only be done on the QT.

PAX Zip on Manual Entry - On a credit card manual entry operation this feature
activated will require the operator to input the credit card holder's zip code.
Manual entries can be done on the QT or directly into the PAX device.
NOTE: Any changes made on the fields above a Flag Clear operation or the new
operation in Manager Mode/Credit Commands (option #14) "DEVICE INIT" is
required to send the changes to the PAX device. Important to note, switching
between the PAX demo and live mode requires Flag Clear operations.
