NOTE:
Upon selecting Flag Clear the QT will go out the COM port
designated above and look for the PAX device. The QT will display
"INITIALIZING Inline Credit ".
The PAX device display will also display "Initializing". If an error occurs in
the initialization process make sure the PAX device is in the READY state
or check the I/O Parameter programming.
Tender keys required on the keyboard include a physical tender key for each
electronic payment the customer is using in addition to CREDIT TENDER
which would include GIFT TENDER and DEBIT TENDER.
Optional keys for electronic payment operation would include GIFT ISSUE,
GIFT ADD, CHARGE TIP, EBT FOOD STAMPS, EBT CASH and
#/EXPIRATION keys. Refer below on the procedure to assign keys to the QT
keyboard.
1. Depress MODE key
2. Depress the PGM 4 button when the MODE menu appears
3. Answer YES to Keyboard
4. Selecting Key Assign will display the function key list, from this list enter
the two or three digit function number and depress the physical key the
function is being assigned to. The following page has the list of electronic
payment keys and their function codes:
