TE-2200/TK-2400 PAX Setup
The IPL in the TE-2200/2400 needs to be upgrade in order to interface to the
PAX SP-30 terminal. The most efficient way of upgrading an IPL is using a
Compact Flash Card. There are two (2) manufacturers cards we recommend,
SanDisk or Kingston 1GB or less cards. A compact flash card reader will be
required on your PC so the IPL can be loaded from the PC to the root directory of
the card. The IPL version number for the PAX settings is 1.31bPAX.
The Casio cash register has a seven (7) position mode lock switch located below
the operator display as shown below:
The grey program key is required to program the steps mentioned below in the
PGM position. In the OFF position turn the program key counter clock wise down
to PGM.
The following section will outline the use a Compact Flash card for upgrading the
cash register's software (which is called an IPL- Initial Program Load) and
backing up/loading customer programs.
Reasons for loading an IPL would be:
1. Upgrading the software version in the machine
2. Enhancement was made in the software
