The first item to program is the communication port that the PAX device is
connected (COM #2 or #3). Below is the programming sequence for the COM
port the PAX is connected.
1. Depress the MODE key
2. Depress the PGM 3 key from the MODE menu
3. Select Machine Features
4. Select option #12 - I/O Parameters
5. Highlight line #8 (EFT) and enter 11000000X1 (X=Com port the PAX is
connected)
6. Depress the ESC key
7. Perform FLAG CLEAR operation with the PAX connected to the COM port
defined above in Record #8
a. Flag Clear operation is:
i. Turn the terminal's power OFF,
ii. Hold down the Display ON/OFF button located on the front
iii. Turn the terminal's power ON
iv. Release the Display/ON/OFF button
v. Depress the OK button appearing
vi. On the last screen appearing hit YES for FLAG CLEAR
