Aethalometer
Model AE33
5.6.5 Datalogger_AE33_protocol
Please check section 5.5 Serial Commands for Communication with the Aethalometer for more
details.
5.6.6 Aerosol_inlet_dryer
Data received from aerosol inlet dryer is stored at the end of AE33 dataline in the fields_i
section in following format: temperature, RH and dew point at the inlet, and temperature, RH
and dew point at the outlet.
5.6.7 Dataloger Bayern Hessen protocol
The instrument supports data acquisition over BH protocol. The following is the basic
structure of command: <STX>DA<address><ETX><BCC>. This command initiates a data
transfer from the instrument. The address is optional. Address is a value between 1 and 255. It
can be set on the advanced tab/ "External ID".
Instrument responds to the valid command in the following format:
<STX>MD07<SP><address><BC1><SP><opStatus><SP><errStatus><SP>0000000000<SP>....
....
<address><BC7><SP><opStatus><SP><errStatus><SP>0000000000<SP><ETX><BCC><CR><LF>
<address> is the instrument address.
<BC1> ... <BC7> are 7 BC values. As exponential representation with 4 characters mantisa
and 2 characters exponent
<opStatus> is the status of the operation state: 00000000 –measuring, 00000001 – tapeadvance,
00000010 – atnzero measurement, 00000011 – instrument stopped, 00000100 – led calibrating,
00100000 – clean air test, 01000000 – stability test, 01100000 – tape change, 10000000 – optical
test, 11000000 – (inlet) leakage test.
<errStatus> is the status of instrument problems: 00000000 – no error, 00000010 – flow problem,
00000100 – led problem, 00001000 – chamber problem, 00010000 – external device problem.
