The Grandstream HT812 is an analog telephone adapter (ATA) that provides analog phone and fax connectivity over IP networks. It has two FXS ports for connecting analog phones or fax machines. The DP722, however, is a DECT cordless handset that requires a compatible DECT base station, such as the DP750, for operation.

Since the HT812 only supports analog phone connections through its FXS ports and does not have DECT functionality, the DP722 cannot be directly connected to the HT812. Instead, the DP722 must be paired with a DP750 base station, which can then connect to a VoIP network separately.
