Answer mode operation

The telephone
rings.

The line is connected
after 2 to 3 rings,
then OGM is released to the caller.

After the OGM, SFX-32 o~erates
as follows
according
to the caller's
purpose.
When the caller is FAX

transmission

SFX-32 turns into fax reception
mode after the line is connected
and
receives fax message automatically.
<Manual
transmission

SFX-32
can receive
a fax message
after releasing
OGM by starting
transmission
by the caller.
When the caller is telephone
When the caller is a phone call, the SFX-32 can record the Incoming
Messages (lCM) up to 3-minute
as a default of factory preset.
The recording
time of ICM can be changed. See page 53, 54.

After the SFX-32
records
a incoming
messages,
the answer
lamp blinks and
the display
shows
total number
of the
incoming
message.

(Once ICM and/or MEMO is recorded, the
display shows Date/Time and the number of
lCM/MEMO alternately.)
The maximum
number of ICM recording
is 60 (depend on the time of each
[CM recorded).
The caller's voice is released from speaker while recording.
If you pick up the phone during this time. the recording
stops and you can
talk to the caller.
9 When a 6-second
of continuous
pause (silent) is existed on the line after the
OGM, the SFX-32 switches
over to the fax reception
mode and releases the
fax tone to the caller.
