9. SERVICE ACCESS
To access the "Motor
I
Electronics Chassis" for service or to change Option Jumpers the side
panel on the motor
I
control chassis must be
opened.
This is done be removing the three #4-40
screws around the top edge using a Philips screw
driver.
CAUTION - DO NOT REMOVE THE TWO SCREWS WHICH
SECURE THE BOTTOM HINGE! (
or it will be necessary to readjust
the door alignment)
The side panel is hinged and will swing out and down, moving a little more than
90
degrees,
allowing easy access to the interior switches and circuit
boards.
Once the three
screws
are
removed, if the side panel will not swing down easily, a flat blade screw driver or pocket knife
inserted into the top edge may be used to help get it started. The chassis
is
fitted tight so to
reduce vibration, and because the paint is rough, it may not want to move. There
is
nothing
inside that should prevent the side panel from swinging out at the top and
downwards.
