The solder pins inside the 5 pin DIN power connector supplied with the SS-485P are not Iwge
enough for wire sizes greater than #16. For long wire runs, in excess of 200 feet,
it
is
recommended to use larger wires, such as #14 or #12, and splice the large wiFe down to a cable
which is attached to the connector.
Power Supply
A separate 24VAC center tapped power supply (transformer) capable of delivering
sufficient
current for the system is required. Power is input through a 5 pin DIN connector. See
POWER REQUIREMENl'S, for pr0per wire connections. Two power
supplies
are available
from IDTACHI, depending on system requiliements. The 24APCT-l will power one SS-
485P, or the 24APCT-5 which will power 5 SS-485P's. For suitability of power
supply
with
other system components, contact the local HIT ACID office.

TILT INSTALLATION
Packing Materials
When possible retain the 0figinal packing b0x in which the unit was delivered from
the factory. This container, and the internal foam inserts have @een designed
to
protect the unit during shipping.
Mounting
1. The Pan and Tilt may be installed in a horizontal plane either
righ~
side up or
up
side
down. When the unit is mounted up side down the m0tion controls can
be
swapped
by changing jumpers inside the control electronics housing. The unit may
also be mounted on a vertical surface for viewing horizontal surfaces such as
table tops, etc. ( with limited movement ).
2. Mechanical: Four 114 -20 Mounting screw holes are evenly spaced on a 3.5" circle.
Refer to
the mechanical drawing on page 4.
