End Stops
If you are setting End Stops, the unit will move the motion channel you are
setting
to the last
end stop position which was
set.
This will take only a few
seconds.
The Second Status LED
will light up the "Red LED"
segment
for about 10 Seconds. With both the Green and Red
LED
segments
on at the
same
time, the Second
Status
LED will look Amber or Orange in
color. This indication is to
show
that the
software
has passed
the
last
end
SLOP
position to the
preset processor routine and that the unit has begun to move to the prior
end stop.
After the motion
channel stops
completely, you can then move
to
the new desired
end stop
position, or a new end
stop
position may be
selected
right
away. The Second
Status LED will
only remain
"Orange"
for
about
10 Seconds. During this time you
can
move the motion
channel to any position within it's travel
at
any manual speed you have set.
h
is
much
easier
(faster) to move the motion channel while the LED is
"Orange", but
you
can
still move the
channel
after
the LED has turned to "Green".
The motion channel can be moved anywhere you
choose
while the
Second Status
LED
is
"Orange"
but you must wait until it returns
[0
a
"Green"
only LED to move
the
"Set /
Run"
dip
Switch back to the "Run" Position which will
save
the new
end stop
position.
Note: If you move the
"Set
/ Run" Dip Switch back to the
"Run"
Position before the
Second Status LED is
"Grecn",
your new
end stop will
not be set
and
the channel
will
move to the previous end
stop.
Manual Motion Speeds
If
you are
setting
Manual Motion Speeds, you will be adjusting the trim pot which is marked by
a
minus
( - )
and a plus (
+ )
symbol. You will need a
small
flat blade screw driver for this
purpose.
Select the
setup
function with the four dip
switches
and move the
"Set
/ Run"
switch
to the "Set"
position. The manual motion
speed
for the
selected
channel can be increased by turning
the
trim
pot
c.
l ockwise toward the plus (
+).
You can likewise reduce the manual motion
speed
for the
selected channel by turning the trim pot counter clockwise toward the minus
(
- ). There are
currently
six
(
6 )
manual speeds supported
..
The pot is a ten
(10
)
turn pot with slip clutches
at
each
end.
If the pot is fully rotated counter clockwise at least ten
(10
)
turns then you should be at
the bottom end of your speed selections. To achieve the new desired speed requires
some
experimentation. Rotate the pot about one turn and then move tbe
"Set
/ Run" Switch to the
"Run"
position. The new
speed
will only take effect after the switch is moved to the
"Run"
position. Move the motion channel to see if the speed has changed and if it is what you desire.
Repeat this sequence until you obtain the desired speed.
Note: The factory defaults can be set for aU End Stops and Manual Motion Speeds by
setting the four (
4 )
setup function switches to Fourteen
(14)
and momentarily moving
the
"Set
/ Run" Switch to the
"Set"
position and then back to the
"Run"
Position.
If
you
get lost, sometimes this is quicker than trying to figure out where you are.
