ACCESSORIES

11.1 BRUSH AND COMB SET (Fig.11.1)
According to conditions a brush or comb can be
fitted. It is not advisable to use the brush in wet
conditions.
To fit either of these units:
1.
Remove bolt (A) on both sides of the front
roll.
2.
Replace the bolt together with the bracket
(B) in between it and the side plate,
replace the outside locknut and tighten
securely.
3.
Slacken the nuts (C) at each end of the
brush or comb.
4.
Slide the screwed studs into the brackets.
5.
Tighten the nuts firmly.
NOTE: The washer should be placed immediately
behind the nuts.
The brush or comb can be moved up or down to suit
varying conditions but always ensure that the unit is
level before re-tightening the nuts.
If the bristles of the brush, through continuous use,
wear at an angle, reverse the brush unit in its frame.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the brackets to
remove the brush or comb.

11.2 TRANSPORT WHEELS (Super Certes only)

(Fig. 11.2)
These wheels are driven off the extension of the rear
roll spindle.
To fit or remove wheels:
1.
Raise the rear roll clear of the ground by
means of the kickstand.
2.
Hold the quick release clip down (A).
3.
Fit or remove the wheels as required.

11.3 TRAILING SEAT

If required a trailing seat may be attached to the
machine by means of a single pin coupling. Only a
Ransomes trailing seat (LMAA747) should be used
with these machines.
FITTING THE TRAILING SEAT TO THE MACHINE
1.
Position trailing seat behind the machine.
2.
Rotate locking pin forward.
3.
Position ball cup over ball on brake
bracket.
4.
Ensure ball is fully located in cup.
5.
Rotate locking pin rearwards.
RANSOMES SMALL PEDESTRIAN RANGE
SAFETY, OPERATORS & MAINTENANCE MANUAL
DO NOT make sharp turns when the
trailing seat is fitted as this may cause the
mower and trailing seat to jack-knife
causing loss of control.
When mowing over uneven ground care
should be taken when the trailing seat is
fitted as an upward force on the hitch
may cause disconnection.
