OPERATIONS
How to playback CD - Normal playback
1. Turn on the power of your FM car radio
or car stereo equipment with FM radio and
set the radio frequency to 89.1 MHz. (it is
recommended to set one preset button to
FM 89.1 MHz.)
2 . A d j u s t t h e v o l u m e a n d t o n e q u a l i t y w i t h
the car radio controls
3. Insert a compact disc into the Disc Slot
(3) with the label surface facing up. Press
t h e L o a d i n g / E j e c t b u t t o n ( 1 ) t o l o a d t h e
disc: playback starts at the beginning of the
first track. The "DISC IN" indicator will
appear and the track number will be
d i s p l a y e d .
4. After the whole disc has been played, the
p i c k u p w i l l a u t o m a t i c a l l y r e t u r n t o t h e
beginning of the disc and playback will start
a g a i n .
5. Press the Play/Stop button (6) to stop the
playback.
6. To take out the disc press the
L o a d i n g / E j e c t b u t t o n ( 1 ) . T h e d i s c w i l l c o m e
o u t
a u t o m a t i c a l l y .
NOTE: Repressing the Loading/Eject
b u t t o n , t h e d i s c i s a u t o m a t i c a l l y l o a d e d
again and playback starts from the
beginning of the last track listened to.

The CDF30 plays an 8cm CD just like a

CD without an adapter. "8cm CD" is
shown in display when an 8cm CD is used.

As the CDF30 is designed to use the
l
existing car FM radio or car stereo
equipment with an FM radio, the playback
tone quality depends on the performance of
these sets.
To select a track
Use the skip button (4/5),
to skip through
the disc from one track to another. The
track number will appear on the L.C.D.
1. Press the Forward skip button (>>4): on
the L.C.D. appears the next track number.
T h e u n i t w i l l s e a r c h t h e b e g i n n i n g o f t h e
next selection and start to play it. To search
for the selections further ahead, press the
until the desired track number is
i n d i c a t e d o n t h e D i s p l a y .
2. Press the Backward skip button (<<5): on
the L.C.D. appears the number of the track
b e i n g p l a y e d . T h e b e g i n n i n g o f t h e
s e l e c t i o n b e i n g p l a y e d i s s e a r c h e d f o r . T o
look for the selection further back, push
Skip button until the desired track number is
i n d i c a t e d o n t h e D i s p l a y .
Repeated playback
If you wish to repeat the playback of the
track being played, push the Repeat button
( 7 ) : R E P E A T w i l l a p p e a r o n t h e d i s p l a y . T o
cancel the repeated playback, simply
repress the Repeat button (7).
