Setting up the Tugboat’s mast, antenna, and smoke stack our Tugboat’s mast is designed to fit through the hole in the upper deck and into the slot in the lower deck. Before you begin to install the mast, slide the bottom of the mast through the knots tied in the two strings.

Removing the base (optional) our Tugboat has been secured to a durable molded base. You may choose to leave the boat on the simulated water wake, or you may remove the base. Simply remove the two base screws as illustrated in Figure 3 and lift off the Tugboat. Base screw Base screw Figure 3.
Powering the Tugboat he Railroad Tugboat was designed to operate at 15-18 volts (AC). Because this accessory is equipped with sensitive electronics, do not exceed the 18-volt maximum. If the accessory is powered at less than 15 volts, you may find that the sound is distorted. There are three ways to supply power to this accessory.
Adding smoke fluid efore you operate the Tugboat, add four to eight drops of fluid to the smoke generator. To add smoke fluid, carefully rotate the stack counter-clockwise about an eighth of a turn, then lift it away. Add the fluid into the hole in the circuit board as illustrated in Figure 6. Note! Be sure that the smoke fluid is not spilled onto the surface of the circuit board.
Operating your Tugboat ower up the Tugboat, and you will hear the sounds of the Tugboat’s engine running and random marker buoy, foghorn, whistle and seagull sounds. Press the HORN/WHISTLE button on your transformer at any time, and the whistle sound will play. The lights, background sounds, and smoke feature are operational when the Tugboat is powered up.
