SmartDisc records various messages in a log file. This file can be called up by
clicking Setup in the SmartTel Receiver software, can be called up in the Vista
SmartCam Player software and is also available as a text file on the hard disk.
Operational messages
The hard disk was reformatted. This was either done deliberatly in the archive
settings, or the hard disk was mistakenly modified or deleted in the PC, and
was automatically reformatted.
The device was switched on / restarted. This message includes the version
number of the SmartDisc system software.
The device was switched off. This entry is not written to the file until the de-
vice is switched on again.
The log file was cleared in the archive settings.
Transmitter set-up was changed, or the transmitter options dialog was closed
with OK and not with Cancel.
Archive set-up was changed, or the archive settings dialog was closed with
OK and not with Cancel.
The file names on a removable hard disk that was previously operated in a
different SmartDisc were changed. The device in which the hard disk was op-
erated previously can be determined on the basis of the previous and current
serial number

SmartDisc was updated with a new firmware version. The old and new ver-
sion numbers are listed
